Bible translations & licensing
Blessumo only shows Bible text we are permitted to show. Today that means public-domain translations stored on our own servers, so they also work offline.
World English Bible (WEB)
The World English Bible (WEB) is in the public domain. "World English Bible" is a trademark of eBible.org. Text sourced via getbible.net.
King James Version (KJV)
The King James Version (1769) is in the public domain in most countries. In the United Kingdom, rights are vested in the Crown and administered by the King's Printer under Letters Patent.
Other translations
Copyrighted translations (for example ESV, NIV or NLT) will only be added through their publishers’ official APIs and licence terms, with the required attribution shown under every passage.
Cross-references
Cross-references are a curated public-domain subset in the tradition of the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge.
Media
Videos are shown only through official embeds from the publisher’s channel. Podcast audio is hosted with the creator’s permission or is clearly marked sample content.
