Blessumo

Privacy policy

Last updated 3 October 2026

Template notice: this policy is a starting template for the Blessumo MVP. Have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel for your jurisdiction before public launch.

We collect as little as we can, never sell your data and never show ads. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

How we use it

To run the service, keep it safe (moderation, fraud and abuse prevention), send the notifications you choose, fulfil orders, and improve Blessumo using aggregate, anonymous statistics.

Cookies and local storage

We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember settings such as theme and reading size. Optional anonymous analytics run only after you opt in, and you can change your choice any time in Privacy settings. We use no third-party advertising or tracking cookies. YouTube videos load only when you press play, using the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain.

Who we share it with

Service providers who host our app, database, email and payments, under contracts that protect your data; sellers, for the order details they need to fulfil your purchase; and authorities, only when legally required or to protect someone from serious harm.

Location

Church discovery uses your location only after you press a button and your browser asks for permission. We do not store your precise location.

Children and young people

Users under 18 receive extra protection: private profiles by default, no direct messages, exclusion from public leaderboards and location features. Blessumo is not intended for children under 13. See our safeguarding policy.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile, download all your data as a file, and delete your account at any time from Your data. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA) you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to complain to a regulator.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted after you delete your account, except where we must keep records (such as orders) for legal or tax reasons. Read notifications are removed after 90 days and anonymous analytics after 13 months.
